MINERAL RIDGE — Three football players from the Class of 2024 will take the field one last time together.

On Thursday, June 6, quarterback Ashton O’Brien, offensive lineman Chris Flora, and defensive end/tight end Will Desmond will play in the Mahoning Valley Coaches Association & ScoutingOhio.com’s 38th annual Jack Arvin All Star Football Classic.

The game will also present one more opportunity for our players to play at Mineral Ridge High School, where Cardinal Mooney played home football games for the past three years.

O’Brien was a three-year starter at quarterback for the Cardinals. During his time under center, O’Brien set seven program records. He is the school’s all-time leader in passing yards and touchdowns.

Desmond is a three-year starter and recorded more than seven tackles per game in 2023 when he also racked up 10.5 sacks.

Flora is a three-year starter at left tackle.

The game features seniors from Mahoning & Columbiana counties against Trumbull County.

Coaching Mahoning/Columbiana is Jackson Milton head coach, Nathan Brode, and the Blue Jays staff.

Mineral Ridge head coach, Brian Shaner, and the Rams staff lead the Trumbull County contingent.

Kickoff for the game is 7 pm.
