The JV Academic Challenge Team, represented by Anastasios Sdregas, George Sdregas, Matthew Rossi, Braden Bizon, and Parker Spielvogel competed in the Mahoning County Quizbowl , finishing as the 2016 JV 2nd Division North Champions and JV Tournament Runner-Up. The team participated in the National Tournament from June 3-5 in Washington, DC.

The varsity Academic Challenge Team placed 3rd in the varsity 2nd Division North. The senior members of the team included Brennan Bizon, Daniel Driscoll, Gino Ginnetti and Callan Herberger. Individual awards were won by Daniel Driscoll for being a 100 plus point scorer in 4 games and Mahoning County Quiz bowl 2016 First Team All-League. Other awards included:
