Art Club

An art oriented organization that is open to all grades and all students (art is not a prerequisite for being a part). Students will be notified about meetings and signing up over the announcements. The meetings themselves vary in time and frequency based on projects that the club may have planned or be working on at that time.

One of our main projects is our annual Halloween dress up day. We sell passes for students to have the ability to dress up and all of the proceeds go to our “charity of choice” for the year – we have donated to the Joanie Abdu breast cancer research center, Red Cross for Hurricane relief, the local Salvation Army and the Center for Balanced Living.

We have had pumpkin painting, we have helped the Alumni association with ornaments for the tree decorating at Mill Creek and coloring book projects for the grade schools.

The art club also assists in displays, helping with theatre displays and background and general promoting the arts in Cardinal Mooney. It does vary from year to year – but this gives a little insight into some of our more recent projects. There is no club fee at the moment – but we have talked about a field trip, in which case there could be some fees collected.
