Cardinal Mooney Freshman student athlete Cole Litman has organized “Back in the Game”, a charitable program to assist at-need student athletes obtain the sports equipment necessary to explore and participate in athletics. Under the “Back in the Game” program, donations of new and gently used sports equipment including mitts, balls, rackets, shoes, helmets, and more are sought for distribution this Spring to students in the Mahoning Valley. Cole developed his idea after witnessing that some fellow athletes and students throughout the area were lacking the equipment required to participate in sports. CMHS has adopted Cole’s program as its school wide Lenten Service project and will be collecting equipment at the school until Wednesday, April 17th.
