YOUNGSTOWN—On Halloween, Cardinal Mooney art teacher Sean Butler will be having his annual Halloween dress-up fundraiser.
Each student will be able to purchase a $2 pass and dress up in Halloween costumes.
Butler has been organizing this event for more than two decades.
“I’ve been an art teacher for 30 years and we’ve been doing the dress passes for 20 plus years,” Butler said.
The dress passes allow the students to have fun on halloween and express themselves while also helping a good cause.
“Originally we used to raise the money and donate it to charities around the city who needed it but now we use it to support our Art club, for example this year the money will purchase our club hoodies, which I’ve been in charge of for about 30 years as well,” Butler said.
The art club is a booming community with members from all grades including Junior Morgan Gleen who said “My favorite part of the art club is it allows you to do every part of art and experience more types. It allows me to express my creativity more.”
